Hair Care Guide
WASH BEFORE INSTALLATION
For the best results, we recommend washing and conditioning your extensions before installation.
• Deep Condition Regularly: Deep condition your hair every 1–2 weeks using a quality hair mask. Because extensions are no longer receiving nutrients from the donor, regular conditioning helps restore moisture, maintain luster, and extend the longevity of your hair.
• Detangle Before Washing: Gently brush or comb the hair completely before washing, regardless of texture. This makes the hair easier to manage while wet.
• Use the Right Products: Always use sulfate-free and paraben-free shampoo and conditioner.
• Detangle With Care: When the hair is wet, detangle only while conditioner is applied. Start at the ends and gently work your way up toward the roots. Use a wide-tooth comb or Wet Brush, especially for wavy and curly textures.
• Condition & Moisturize: After washing, gently pat the hair dry to remove excess water and brush through with no product. Apply a small amount of leave-in conditioner to add moisture. For thicker or coarser textures, cream-based leave-in conditioners may work best.
• Drying: Allow the hair to air dry naturally or use a hooded dryer. Excessive blow-drying is not recommended, as overheating may contribute to dryness or breakage.
• Use Products Sparingly: Apply a small amount of hair oil as needed to maintain moisture and shine. Avoid excessive product use, as buildup can cause the hair to feel stiff and lifeless.
• Curly & Wavy Textures: Apply leave-in conditioner as needed to refresh curls, control frizz, and define your natural texture.
• Heat Styling: Always use a quality heat protectant before using flat irons or curling irons to help minimize heat damage.
• Daily Maintenance: Use a wide-tooth comb, Wet Brush, or soft-tip paddle brush when brushing or detangling.
• Protect at Night: Sleep with a silk or satin bonnet to help retain moisture, reduce friction, and prevent unnecessary tangling and breakage.
• Coloring: If you wish to color your extensions, we strongly recommend consulting a professional colorist to achieve the desired results and prevent over-processing.
Proper care = beautiful hair and longer-lasting extensions.
